H) Please explain further your reasons for applying for this character. What types of stories would you like to do with this character? What sorts of heroes/villains would you be interested in interacting with. Is there anything about the established comic-book canon of this character that you would like to see changed/different? Please be as detailed as you wish.: My main reason for applying for this character is to fix a very, very interesting concept that Quesda ruined. Kiden has a very interesting power set and in the right hands could be really fun to play. Since she's a very disconnected, troubled teenager searching desperately for any sort of purpose in life, putting her with the brotherhood gives her that purpose and keeps her story lines from being all about her dead father, the sex she's having, the raves she goes to and the drugs she does. I hate to see interesting ideas done wrong, so this is my attempt to fix Kiden.

I'd like to do stories with her growing with the brotherhood, both as a person and as a mutant. I want to change the very, very wonky history that was NYX and keep the meat of her character of the upset, troubled teen without any of the... trash that story was. Helping this character grow into her own will be my main goal and the plots will be moved to that purpose. So for this situation the teacher in question died, and Kiden being on the streets ever since.

Since she's with the brotherhood, at times it would be interesting to do things with the X-Men or other heroes trying to 'save' her. Which won't go well, but will make for interesting scenes. Also, interaction with Magneto & Co.

NYX: Dancing in-between the Raindrops

Kiden was alive. Both on the buzz of LSD and the colors it added to the world and slipping in and out of her own personal world. With very few people was the term 'own little world' so literal. Kiden vanished between the moments, dancing between people and moving back into real-time blocks away from where she had been, most people not having taken a single breath.

If her family didn't want her around: fine. She had also managed to get killed the one person who actually listened to her, so there wasn't a damn thing tying her here anymore. And people... people were all the same. Like the boy whose arm she shattered with a tap from no-time, they were fragile, stupid things who always had this look of dumb surprise on their faces when she popped into existence between them.

So slow.

So silent.

So... worthless. Not even the highs made this fun, anymore, even with the trails it created in the colors that were already there.
